For the past week instead of our usual homework the children in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th had the task of creating a nativity scene. They were allowed to be creative and use a variety of materials. Today the children brought the cribs in to school and we are so impressed with the effort that was put in by everyone. Thank you to all the children, parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters and minders that helped to create these beautiful cribs. Well done to everyone, it was such an enjoyable exercise!
During the month of October, Padraig from Global Action plan came to talk to 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th about Global citizenship as we prepare for our 6th green flag. It was very informative and interesting.
In November the 3rd and 4th class coordinated our school’s first shoe box appeal for Team Hope. We made 47 boxes which means 47 children who wouldn’t have recieved Christmas presents will now. Ms. Casserly was very proud of all their efforts.
We had assembly in our G.P room on 8th December. The 1st & 2nd class children told the advent story and the 3rd and 4th class children preformed some very entertaining songs!
